It’s just Common Sense: A lesson in Objective Morality and the key to True Freedom

Common sense is the ability to think and behave in a reasonable way and to make good decisions.  For us to make good decisions we must first know the difference between right and wrong. Without that definitive understanding, our following behaviors will often create tremendous suffering.  If we cannot tell the difference between what is right and wrong, then we cannot begin to have common sense.

People who lack common sense need our help. Every single living being on earth, including the earth herself, is harmed by their bad decisions. They are harming themselves as well because they do not realize that as one suffers, we all suffer. What we do to others, we ultimately do to ourselves.  Until enough people learn common sense, the conditions on earth will continue to become worse.  If a natural calamity or disease doesn’t wipe us out first, our refusal to accept the truth will be the cause of the extinction of humanity

Unfortunately, what should be common sense is ignored, rejected, or over-complicated.  Yet the truth is always simple.

Morality is objective. Morality is objective because actions which you have a right to take always remain your right to take. Any action you do not have the right to take is always wrong. All beings have, simply by virtue of their existence, intrinsic natural rights. Rights cannot be given or taken away because they are intrinsic to all life and not determined by us. Right and wrong behaviors are not decided by human law, group opinions, the times we are living in, by voting, or by our personal feelings.

If an action was morally wrong in the past, it remains morally wrong today. If an action was morally right in the past, it remains morally right to do so today as well.

All people have the same rights. The commoner has the same rights as a king. The citizens have the same rights as the president. You have the same rights as me and I have the same rights as you. Conversely, if it is morally wrong for you to take an action, it is morally wrong for anyone else to take that action as well.

A morally right action is any action that does not initiate harm to others.

A morally wrong action is an action that does initiate harm to others.

To cause harm is to violate the rights of others.

There are an infinite number of things that you can do that are your right. Regardless of what anybody thinks, so long as you are not hurting anyone, you have the natural right to take that action. Yet, there are only a few actions that you can take which you do not have the right to do. They are:

Murder

Assault

Rape

Theft

Trespassing

Coercion

Lying

These behaviors are objectively wrong because they do cause harm to others. There are no laws, no votes, no orders given, or no groups that can magically make those actions morally right. There was never a time where it was ever right to take those actions and there never will be.

When you take a closer look, you will notice all immoral actions have one thing in common… they are all a form of stealing. Stealing is when you take someone else’s property without the consent of the owner.

Murder= someone stole a life that did not belong to them. (Your life is your property)

Assault= someone stole another’s health. (Your health is your property)

Rape= someone stole another’s freedom as to who they choose to have sex with. (Your body is your property)

Theft= someone stole another’s property. (Your belongings are your property)

Trespass= someone stole another person’s space in their domicile. (Your space is your property)

Coercion= someone stole another person’s right to decide without the threat of violence. (Your ability to choose is your property)

Lying= someone stole another’s ability to come to an accurate conclusion.

(Your thoughts are your property)

Freedom is the ability to do whatever you like, so long as you are not causing harm to others.

Slavery is when others make a claim of authority over you and your property and prevent you from taking actions which you have the right to take.

In case you haven’t realized this yet… WE ARE IN SLAVERY!

Don’t be fooled by the convivences and creature comforts that you might have in your daily life. Don’t be fooled by the lack of physical chains yoked around your neck. Don’t let your apparent surroundings fool you. Slavery can take different forms. Slavery is not always direct. But if you pull the curtain back and see our current reality for what it is, you will quickly realize that nearly the entire world is in slavery.

We live in a world where a group of people who call themselves the government steal the money that we work for. If we don’t let them steal our money, people who call themselves the police will lock us in a cage.  The euphemism we use to describe this violence is called taxation.

We live in a world where a group of people who call themselves the government believe that they have a right to decide for us what we can and cannot put into our bodies. If we put something in our bodies that they say we can’t, people who call themselves the police will lock us in a cage.  The euphemism for this violence is prohibition.

We live in a world where for many things we have a natural right to do, such as driving, we need permission from a group of people who call themselves the government to take those actions.  If we exercise such rights without their permission, people who call themselves the police will lock us in a cage.  The euphemism for this violence is called needing a license or permit.

We live in a world where a group of people who call themselves the government invent rules, and if we don’t obey the rules they created, people who call themselves the police will lock us in a cage. The euphemism for this violence is called “law”.

If your behavior causes no harm to others, no one has the right to prevent you from taking such actions or punish you for taking them. No one has the right to conduct violence unto you, regardless of any justification imagined. If you are the ones whose job it is to cause harm to others, you must QUIT or remain ENSLAVED.

The key to Freedom is simple:

We must know the objective differences between right and wrong. We must willfully choose to always think, say, and act in ways which are morally right. We must always refuse to think, say, and act in ways which are morally wrong.  Once we make that positive transformation within ourselves, we must influence that transformation within others on a critically mass scale.

As Morality increases, Freedom increases.

As Morality decreases, Freedom decreases.

There is NO other way to freedom.

We reap what we sow.

The Truth stated here is not new or my original idea. It’s realized by the fact that there is a Natural Law at work. Natural meaning not created by humankind; and Law, meaning a condition that cannot be changed. This Law acts as a mirror, in the sense that it reflects our behaviors to us.  People throughout history have also discovered this Truth, now so have you. Some have called it Natural Law, Karmic Law, The Golden Rule, Law of Cause and Effect etc.

It’s only until the knowledge of objective morality becomes common sense can humanity become free. Mass freedom is world peace.

Obey the Golden Rule to live in the Golden Age.
